JOB DESCRIPTION


Pay and benefits:

The personal trainer position pays about $16 per hour to start. Clients are provided so trainers just show up for regular shifts. There is no selling required so trainers don't have to worry about meeting quotas or pushing supplements. The training period (about 1 mo.) pays $8/hr. (see the schedule below for specifics). Raises and reviews are given every 6 months if requested and earned based on performance and client feedback.

After year 1: One week non-accruing paid vacation/sick leave increasing by 1 day every 3 months thereafter.

After year 2: One week non-accruing paid vacation/sick leave increasing by 1 day every 2 months thereafter.

Typical Training Schedule (varies from person to person 2-4 weeks):

Week 1: Trainee shadows X Gym trainers and observes. Trainee also gets worked out by X Gym trainer. Week 2: See above plus sets weights/seat settings for client. Week 3: See above plus trains X Gym trainers and select clients while being shadowed by X Gym trainer (as X Gym trainer sets weights and settings).
Week 4: Trainee trains all clients while being shadowed by X Gym trainer.

Job description:

4. Keep club clean and maintained.

5. Perform other club related duties as requested by supervisor.

6. Various office and computer functions.

7. Minimum 1 yr. commitment requested.
